Museumpark Archeon is an open air museum in the south of Alphen aan den Rijn that shows the Netherlands during prehistoric times, Roman times and the Middle Ages.
Employees of the park, dressed according to the costume of the period in question, play typical activities for their period, such as weaving, cultivating land and baking pots, and inform the visitors about it. Visitors can also try to do these past activities, such as archery in the Middle Ages or mosaics with stone in Roman times. The employees give the necessary instructions.
If the history of the Roman Empires is something that catches your eye, than don’t miss out Archeon.
